Hymns and Stories from the Chapel with Jim Lyon

Music Can Reach Into the Deepest Part Of Our Being,
calling the best out of us and, at the same time, allowing us to express our most important thoughts. This is true for both those who write and those who listen. Born as they are out of lyricists’ personal experience, the words of songs we all know by heart often mean something different to the writer than they do to us as listeners.
Every song has a story. And exploring those stories can add depth and meaning to even the already treasured and familiar.
In this small collection of hymns, I’ll tell some of those stories while the melodies we all know are brought to life with fresh vocal and instrumental arrangements. Hymns, of course, have a unique place in the catalog of our memory, speaking of God, our relationship to Him, and the ways in which He intersects with us in life. Real life stories of God at work and the chance to see our world from Heaven’s view—this is the very substance of Christians Broadcasting Hope and its English radio program, ViewPoint.
CBH ViewPoint is proud to bring you these stories, captured in song, in the hope that they will help you see the hymns, your world, and yourself in fresh new ways.
Thanks for listening. From all of us at the CBH ViewPoint staff,
Jim Lyon
