If a picture is worth a thousand words, then it might be said that seeing is worth a thousand pictures. More than that, the power of a full sensory, firsthand experience cannot be overestimated in its ability to create lasting impressions on one’s global understanding of ministry. That’s what our CBH Expeditions are all about.
The vast reach of CBH radio is hard to grasp. Like the famous farmer in the Lord’s parable of the sower, CBH throws the seed of the kingdom far and wide. Some undoubtedly is lost, but some does take root and bear fruit. There are entire congregations today in the Ukraine, South America, and other parts of the world, for instance that have developed as a consequence of our radio outreach, not to mention the individual lives changed by God, bringing fruit out of our efforts.
CBH is a family of ministry teams that involves dozens of indigenous ministers from the United States, South America, the sub-continent of India, the coasts of Africa, and beyond in the life-giving ministry of spreading the hope of Jesus. As a part of this family, we are committed to visiting each of our ministry partner sites every couple of years, and we are committed to be good stewards of time and money by not travelling there alone. Our desire is to encourage and build long-term relationships between individuals and congregations with specific CBH ministry efforts around the word by exposing them firsthand to what God is doing through CBH. We want to know well, and for you to know well, the indigenous people around the world who carry a deep calling, high level of skill, and enduring commitment to seeing this ministry of hope carried into their cultures in places such as India, Brazil, Côte d’Ivoire, Russia, Kenya, and more. That’s why you are always invited to travel with us.
We are also committed to going out across the world in search of what God is doing in faraway places. That’s why each year Jim Lyon and our ViewPoint team travel to places such as Israel, Myanmar, Tanzania, Haiti, Bermuda, Ecuador, India, Cambodia, to mention a few, to record ViewPoint radio programs on location, and you are always invited to travel with us. You can experience firsthand the testimonies of people who have found hope, learn from the insights of Jim Lyon and the ViewPoint team and their extensive international experience, and build lasting friendships with fellow travellers and CBH personnel—just a few of the outstanding reasons to consider travelling with one of our recording Expeditions.
Our Mission is Clear and Simple
CBH: Christians Broadcasting Hope serves on behalf of the Church of God, partnering with indigenous ministry centers to produce evangelistic programming around the world in an effort to expand and nurture the kingdom of God through the use of radio and Internet broadcasts, and other mass media tools.
